Our 1st Week: November!

5B had a great week, bouncing back from the holidays. Students did a short recount of their holiday break–see their published work below. We started new literature circles with fantastic books. Students started a Wiki with book reviews from their independent reading. Please check this out! There’s a link on the left-hand side of the page. In math, we investigated equivalent fraction concepts. Students went to another Japanese cultural lesson, learning more about the tea ceremony and Japanese calligraphy. In writing, we started our fiction writer’s workshop. Busy and fun. Beautiful weather. Friday afternoon, we did some problem solving challenges, which left everyone stumped. More on that next week. Have a great weekend!
