As we move toward Exhibition and finish up our unit on peace and conflict, 5B students have been thinking about themselves: their passions, their needs, their feelings. We’re building a tree in class to display everything about 5B students.
Students also started making cranes. We’re trying to reach our goal of 1000 to donate to someone who needs a token of peace or health or longevity. Students have been reading the book about Sadako to each other, and the crane project has taken off.
ISA testing finished up this week, and all made it through it. Results come much later. Students started their final unit of inquiry project where they’re compiling data, making a pie chart, and helping another class to solve their problems.
We start the Exhibition officially in another week, and we’re looking forward to this final project of the students last year in elementary school. Look how we’ve grown!
